Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is delighted with the leadership of captain John McGinn.
Emery appreciates the personality of McGinn around the dressing room.
"John McGinn is a competitive professional, he is always transmitting us positive energy," Emery said. "He is smiling and he is very responsible when he is working and when he is playing.
"Really I think it is very important at Aston Villa his character as a player and his quality as a player. He is very competitive and he is facing every match at home and away in the same move.
"I think he is one of the leader in this dressing room because of his character and his characteristics as a player is really the characteristic to lead a team, sharing it with other players like Emi Martinez. They are very different players in terms of their character but very important."
