Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard says he's yet to make a decision on the club captaincy.
Gerrard has stated he could take the armband away from Tyrone Mings and name his own skipper.
“It's still up for grabs," he told Birmingham Live.
"We're not far away from deciding because we're two weeks out [from the start of the new season] but there's two or three in the running for it."
As well as Mings, Emi Martinez, John McGinn and Ashley Young have donned the captain's armband in pre-season, with all four in the running ahead of the new campaign.
