Under-fire manager Steven Gerrard believes that no one else is more determined to reverse Aston Villa's poor start to the Premier League season than him.

Gerrard is in danger of losing his job if results and performances do not improve at the Villa Park club in the coming weeks.

They have only nine points from their first ten league games, while they have not won away from home at all this season.

During his pre-match press conference ahead of a trip to Fulham on Thursday, Gerrard said: “That's not what my focus is right now [if he is being judged fairly]. We live in a world where in this league you get judged because it is the best league, there's a lot of eyes on it, a lot of focus, social media.

"It's the best league in the world, it's the most brutal league, it's the hardest league. So I don't want to be judged any different to how anyone else gets judged.

"I accept how I'm getting judged right now, but there's no one on the planet right now who is more determined to change it than myself and that's all I need to focus on which is the next three points. If we can go an execute that I'll feel better and everyone else will."
