Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has revealed he is targeting at least one midfielder and a striker.
The Villa Park club have allowed Danny Ings to depart for West Ham United.
Not only does Emery want to replace Ings, but he also wants a midfielder to bolster his squad.
"I will try as well to sign one player as a striker who can really improve the squad with experience of course, we will do it," Emery said in his pre-match press conference.
"But it is going to be very difficult to sign one striker thinking to improve the team and the squad but we are going to try and do it, now or in the summer.
"The most important thing is that we have very good players, we are out of two cups, the Carabao and FA Cup, we are only going to play Premier League matches. Of course, we can have some injuries to Ollie, maybe we could have some problems, but I think with the other players we can manage it.
"It's not easy to sign one striker more thinking we can improve our squad and our team. I want to be patient, we will be so demanding about the striker we will sign."
