Aston Villa chief Monchi has accused Sevilla of BLOCKING him from Ivan Rakitic's farewell ceremony.
The Croatia midfielder had his formal farewell yesterday as he signs for Al Shabab.
Monchi worked closely with Rakitic while sporting director of Sevilla, but was conspicuously absent yesterday.
According to Spanish sources, Monchi was prevented from participating, even with a simple video, in Rakitic's farewell conference.
And he posted to social media: I would have liked to be there with you or at least send you a video message like the rest of my colleagues and friends, but I didn't have the chance.
"I thank you as a Sevilla fan for everything you have done for this club. I hope life continues to give you what you deserve. A huge kiss to you and your family."
