Aston Villa chief Monchi has returned to Sevilla for a new fullback.
Marca says Monchi has opened talks with Sevilla for Argentina defender Marcos Acuna.
The 32 year-old is a first-choice for Sevilla coach Jose Luis Mendilibar, but could yet leave as the board needs to raise funds from player sales this month.
As such, talks are now running with Villa over a fee for Acuna.
The defender has a deal to 2025 and Sevilla will want to make a profit on the 10m they paid Sporting CP for Acuna in 2020.
