- Aston Villa have been given the green light to register teenager Brian Madjo after their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) was upheld.
- The 17-year-old Madjo, who was born in Enfield, London, joined Villa from French club Metz back in January.
- However, Villa were initially prevented from registering him due to Fifa’s rules on the international transfer of minors.
- Villa took the case to Cas and have now been cleared to register Madjo ahead of the new season.
- Villa issued a statement on Tuesday that read: “The court’s decision today means that Brian will be registered as an Aston Villa player and eligible to play in official competition matches for the forthcoming season.”
