Aston Villa defender Diego Carlos claims he has returned an even stronger player.
The Brazilian was a summer signing for Villa from Sevilla, but the 30-year-old managed just one game before suffering a ruptured Achilles.
Despite the injury being one of the most challenging to recuperate from, Carlos is back and came off the bench in a 1-0 loss to Wolves at the weekend.
Writing on social media, he said: After a long period away from the fields, I'm back, stronger than ever.
Thanks to everyone who supported me on this journey. It wasn't easy but I won!"
The defender wants to play his part during the remaining league games of the season.
