Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez admits Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez surprised everyone inside the Argentina squad during the World Cup.
Fernandez, who left Benfica for Chelsea in January, finished the tournament a winner and also was named the Young Player of Qatar 2022.
Martinez told Tyc Sports: "Enzo is a brazen! He had played one friendly with the national team and reached the World Cup as if he had already played 350 games.
"He put the ball in the corner, shot a bicycle... He surprised me not only as a player, but as a person. Paredes, De Paul and Gio Lo Celso had done things very well in the middle and were untouchable.
"But we lost the first game, where everyone was at a low level. Lio Scaloni made a couple of changes and Enzo came in. A crack!"
