Aston Villa have made an offer for Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso.
AS says Villa have made a bid for the former Chelsea defender, who only left London last summer.
Alonso is yet to be registered for the LaLiga due to Barca's financial issues and can leave for the right price.
The 32 year-old has also been contacted by Villa as they push to close a deal.
Villa see Alonso as a potential replacement for Nice target Lucas Digne.
