Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is making no excuses for his team this season.
The Spanish head coach believes they have a squad strong enough to compete in every competition.
The Midlands club may have up to 60 games this term, as they are in the Europa Conference League.
Villa are set for a period of seven games in the next 23 days, starting with Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
Emery, who wants to win a trophy this season, told reporters: The players we added, I think we can feel stronger than last year and we can be a contender in different competitions because we can use different players on Sundays, Thursdays and in cups.
That is our challenge, to try and be a contender and be ready with the players, taking our high level into different competitions we will face."
