Aston Villa ace Douglas Luiz hopes to hear from Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Football Insider says Luiz has told friends he is open to joining the Gunners.
Villa have held talks with the midfielder over a new deal but have yet to reach a breakthrough.
The Brazil international's deal expires at the end of the campaign and he can discuss a pre-contract agreement with clubs overseas from the New Year.
That means the North Londoners would still have to pay a fee with Villa valuing the 24-year-old at £30million, however the asking price could be lowered out of fear of losing the player for free
