Astro Audio suspends two more staff members over racially charged video

ASTRO Audio has suspended the three announcers and two additional staff members, following the video clip in which three of Era Fm’s radio station’s presenters were seen mocking a Hindu religious ceremony and sharing the video on social media early this morning.

In a statement today, the company said it will continue to conduct a thorough internal investigation following a meeting between its CEO and senior leaders met with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) earlier today.

The company expressed their deep regret over the incident that has caused distress and disappointment to various parties involving our three ERA FM radio announcers.
