ASUS and Noctua has collaborated a few times in the past, and the result usually comes in the form of gigantic NVIDIA GPUs. This time it’s no different – the ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 Noctua OC Edition is predictably huge, with a trio of NF-A12x25 G2 120mm fans and large heatsinks to create the quietest card possible.

Unlike the previous iterations of Noctua-cooled GPUs, the new RTX 5080-based model moves away from the dual-fan design of old with a new triple-fan design more tightly packed against each other. Still, fitting three 120mm fans onboard meant the card measures a whopping 385mm long, along with 80mm thickness (quad-slot) and 151mm in card height. In other words, good luck installing this in anything smaller than a mid-tower case.
Of course, having a trio of Noctua fans is half the cooling equation. ASUS has employed other cooling technologies such as optimized vapor chamber cooling, phase-change GPU thermal pads, MaxContact technology, and 0dB mode to keep thermals and noises low. It also features dual-BIOS to switch between quiet and performance profiles, like most high-end GPUs do today.
As for the silicon itself, it’s the factory-overclocked RTX 5080 with 2730MHz boost clock in OC mode (2700MHz in standard), which is +113MHz over the stock RTX 5080 found in the Founders Edition card. While this card is fairly demanding in terms of power draw – at 360W TGP – you can be sure this supersized cooling system has taken care of thermals, and you just need to find a case big enough to fit.
Pokdepinion: Somehow, this card is bigger than even the ROG Astral RTX 5090 in all three axes. Wild.
