Tottenham Hotspur have moved ahead of Nottingham Forest in the race to secure Ruslan Malinovskyi.
The Atalanta midfielder is a hot property this summer, with several clubs around Europe chasing his signature.
Forest are the ones who can offer Malinovskyi regular first-team football.
However, Tutto Atalantareports that Spurs may want to add the midfielder for squad depth, as manager Antonio Conte wants plenty of options at his disposal this season.
There is also the possibility, per the report, that Spurs would secure his signature and loan him back to Atalanta for a season.
If he were to sign for Forest, Malinovskyi would come to the Premier League this season.
