Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde was delighted with Friday night's win against Real Mallorca.
Yuri Berchiche struck twice, with Gorka Guruzeta and Iker Muniain also scoring for the 4-0 win.
"From our point of view it was a very complicated match. It certainly helps when you score a goal in the first move. It gives you a boost," Valverde said.
"After winning tonight, we can now focus on the upcoming Copa match."
Valverde added: "LaLiga puts you where you are and tells you who you are. It's a long-distance race in which you have to overcome different tests. Now we have the Copa and we have to go all out."
