Athletic Bilbao midfielder Dani Garcia is excited about tomorrow's Copa del Rey round 16 clash with Espanyol.

The veteran from Zumarraga has declared that Wednesday's game is practically a final.

"It's a very important game in a competition in which we've come close to winning the title the last three years," he said.

"It's special and we want to win it. The game at San Mamés is vital and luckily we'll have the fans with us."

The midfielder thanked the fans for their constant support: "We have to thank them for the effort they make to always be with us and, for that reason, we want to dedicate a victory to them.

The team has already got over the sadness of the derby and is now focused on the match in the Round of 16 of the Copa."

Asked about their opponents, Dani García highlighted Espanyol's goalscoring ability: "They have many strikers capable of scoring goals. I suppose it will be a game in which we will carry the weight of the match. They're strong defensively and they'll probably drop back to counter-attack, so we'll have to be very effective in possession, without making mistakes.

"As it's a decisive game, I don't think it will be like the one we played in LaLiga."

Finally, questioned about the recent results, the midfielder shed some light on the situation: "The match at the Reale Arena was very hard fought and, although they had possession of the ball, they didn't create any danger for us until we had two mistakes.

"It's true that we haven't had good results recently, but we're doing well and we're still in the top positions. I think we played well against Real Betis and CA Osasuna and deserved to take all three points. I think we're still in a good moment."
