Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was delighted with their rout of Rayo Vallecano last night.
Atletico won 0-7 - their biggest away win in Atletico history.
Simeone said: "I really liked the group's response. We had gone through this result against Espanyol and they hurt us, they tied us that game, they could beat us and I think we were able to learn from that game. We never stop playing today, how the changes came in and we have a competitive team, strong when we have the chance to be with that intensity of the people who don't start the game.
"I'll take the response of the 16 who played.
"We played the game very well. It was seen at the start that we could find places where we felt that we could do damage. We worked very well on the arrivals of Sal, De Paul, Griezmann... We had the forcefulness that is needed to compete strongly and hopefully we can maintain this strength in the game. At a global level we have an important team and I continue to insist on changes if they come in like today."
