Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo de Paul has shrugged off the taunts of PSG ace Manuel Ugarte last week.
Uruguay midfielder Ugarte mocked De Paul's relationship with Argentina captain Lionel Messi on the pitch during their World Cup qualfier.
De Paul said, "It's a stupid thing. Stay on the field, it doesn't matter. I like talking about football: Uruguay did better and now we have to find the strength to play an important match in Brazil.
"Football is sometimes unfair.
"We must take care of everything we have earned, everything we have achieved, all the respect we have earned during this period."
