La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have revived talks with Tottenham regarding a fringe midfielder.
The capital club are eager to bring in more cover in midfield for manager Diego Simeoene before the transfer window closes.
Per The Mail, the two clubs are now in talks over a loan deal for midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg.
The deal would be a loan for the entire season, with Atleti adding an obligation to buy.
Manchester United are also in the mood to secure Hojbjerg's signature, but do not have the funds at present.
The Red Devils are also embroiled in talks with Fiorentina regarding midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
