Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo insists coach Diego Simeone's new contract talks are on track.
Simeone's current deal runs to June and a new deal to 2027 has been offered.
Cerezo was clear when he spoke about Simeone's deal. First, he assured that the renewal will happen because "it is what we all want. We are all in agreement. Simeone will be coach of Atltico for as long as he wants".
An agreement that he is convinced will be announced shortly because it is almost, almost" closed.
Cerezo also praised the work Cholo has done on the Colchonero bench, ensuring that "it is normal and logical that a coach like Simeone has the right to do what he wants to do, and you all know what he wants to do".
