It’s only common and a reflex action for us NOT to open the doors to anyone when we’re home, and even when we’re inside the car. An aunty recently went viral on TikTok after she was spotted at a traffic light in Kedah, where she knocked on the window of the cars.

Expectedly, no one rolled down the window nor opened the door for her. A Malaysian, Zyn recently shared a clip on his Tiktok account which shows the aunty, who was carrying an umbrella trying to open the door of a car in front of him. When the driver ignored her, the aunty moved on to the next car – Zyn’s car.

Coincidentally (and fortunately?), there was a police car just right beside Zyn. When the aunty was outside his car, Zyn simply told the aunty,

“Ask the police! Ask the police!”

In another video, it is shown that the aunty immediately (and casually) walked towards the police car and knocked on the window in the passenger seat. As the light turned green, the aunty was last seen talking to 1 of the policemen who came out from the passenger seat after she had opened the door at the back.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Zyn, who was in the passenger seat said the incident took place at a traffic light in Changlun, Kedah. He said the aunty was actually asking for a ride home.

When asked about what happened to the aunty eventually, Zyn said he didn’t know much as the light had already turned green and his friend had to drive away.

“I think the police sent her home. I saw her going into the police car,” Zyn told WORLD OF BUZZ.

“She just wanted a ride home”

Zyn couldn’t tell us more about the aunty as he has never met her prior to the incident, but according to some netizens who seemed familiar with the elderly, they said the aunty just wanted a ride home.

A netizen revealed that the aunty meant no harm and she had given the elderly a ride before.

“I always give her a ride. Her sister’s house isn’t that far. She doesn’t bother anyone, and she’ll thank you many times after you send her.”

“Some might find this funny but she’s hoping for someone to give her a lift.”

Zyn then replied and said he has heard about it many times but feared that the aunty might be senile.

“It happened to me. The central lock of my car was damaged, so she came into my car and asked me to send her home.”

“She wanted a lift. My mom used to send her to Napoh, Kedah, and the aunty said she wanted to go to the shop. She’s fine, to be honest.”

Another netizen pointed out that the aunty is indeed senile and she often visits Secret Recipe and asks for an RM4 fried rice. In the meantime, the police also received praise from netizens for helping the aunty.

“The police are so kind! This is what we call helping the rakyat.”

“Police car became Grab Car.”

You can watch the first video here, and the clip showing the aunty’s interaction with the police here.

Dear readers in Kedah, have you bumped into this aunty before, or have you heard of her? Sending good wishes to the aunty and hopefully, she’s doing okay.
