Kota Kinabalu: The automotive industry plays a vital role in transforming Sabah into an industrialised nation by increasing high-value economic activities, creating higher-paying jobs and improving standards of living.
Furthermore, Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Phoong Jin Zhe pointed out that the industry stimulates the development of other industrial sectors such as electrical and electronics, plastics, steel and rubber.
“Building strategic relationships with industry players are very important to ensure that the Ministry and its agencies’ directions are in tandem with the development of our investors in all industrial parks in Sabah, and this inlcudes focusing on resolving ongoing concern of infrastructure needs of industry,” he said at the Chinese New Year 2023 celebration held at the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Precinct (KKIP) recently.
