
Kota Kinabalu: A 50-year-old who was charged with committing physical sexual harassment against a six-year-old girl, is suspecting to suffer from brain shrinkage.
Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan asked the condition of Noredi Abu Bakar whose case was brought up for mention to fix the hearing date.
Counsel Amirul Amin, who defended Noredi, informed the court that the doctor had recently diagnosed Noredi of suffering from brain shrinkage, but confirmation about the matter had yet to be received.

He also informed the court that Noredi is holding an OKU card.
Pending the confirmation from the hospital about Noredi’s situation, the court fixed Aug 21-22 this year for hearing the case in Tuaran court.
Noredi is accused of committing the offence against the minor by kissing her face, touching her thighs and sucking her private part for sexual purpose in early September 2020 inside a car.
The offence under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 provides for a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping, on conviction.
DPP Bryan Francis appeared for the prosecution.
In the same court, a 29-year-old man was jailed five years and ordered to get a stroke of the cane for repeating to take syabu.
Muhammad Nurfitri Sedingki pleaded guilty to taking the drug on Apr 5 this year at 9.35pm after his urine was tested positive for drug at the police station here.
He has two previous conviction records for taking the drug.
After serving the jail sentence, Muhammad was ordered to be placed under police supervision for three years.
The court advice Muhammad to not involve in drug once he released from prison and be in good behaviour while in prison who knows that he would get parole.
