As of Wednesday, the police received three additional reports regarding alleged abuse of children at a child care centre in Bandar Sri Permaisuri, Cheras.

This comes after a man lodged a report on Monday, claiming that his two-year-old daughter had been abused at the same childcare centre. According to Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid, a total of four reports have been received thus far regarding the alleged abuse at the care centre.

The police are currently awaiting medical reports on the alleged victims. Speaking to reporters after attending the Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Treatment program at the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters on Thursday, he stated that statements from the parents of the alleged victims and a woman arrested on Monday for suspected abuse of a girl at the child care centre have been recorded. The investigation papers, which are nearing completion, will be submitted to the deputy public prosecutor for further action. This indicates that the police are taking the reports seriously and are working diligently to gather evidence and bring justice to the victims.

In addition to the update on the abuse investigation, Allaudeen mentioned the purpose of the program he attended. It was organized to introduce alternative treatment options to police personnel, aiming to ensure their welfare and health at the Kuala Lumpur police contingent. This demonstrates the police force's commitment to the well-being of its officers and staff members. Overall, the police have received multiple reports of alleged child abuse at the child care centre in Bandar Sri Permaisuri.

The authorities are actively investigating the incidents, gathering statements from parents and suspects, and waiting for medical reports. Once the investigation is complete, the case will be handed over to the deputy public prosecutor for further legal action. The police chief's attendance at a health treatment program reflects the organization's concern for the welfare and health of its personnel.
