Real Madrid great Karim Benzema has gone AWOL from Al-Ittihad.
It's emerged the striker is out of today's Saudi Pro League clash with Al Taee after missing training on Thursday and Friday.
Benzema's actions have angered coach Marcelo Gallardo, who stated on Friday: "He may be in disagreement with the club (...) but that does not excuse him because he does not make any effort."
The Frenchman shut down his social media account this week as copped fans abuse after failing to perform in their thrashing by Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nasr.
Meanwhile, Al-Riyadiya is reporting Benzema has left the port city of Jeddah, with the reason behind his unscheduled trip midseason currently unknown.
