On 29 July 2024, 17-year-old Axel Rudakubana left his family home in Banks, Lancashire and using a fake name ordered a taxi to Southport.

It would take 13 minutes for his taxi to deliver him to his intended destination, The Hart Space in Hart Street, where a children’s dance class was underway.

Rudakubana was concealing a kitchen knife with a 20cm long blade that he had bought on Amazon.

When he arrived at Hart Street he ignored the driver’s request for payment, and can be seen disappearing upstairs to begin his attack.

He would go on to murder three young girls, and attempt to murder another eight children and two adults.
