Lyon chief Juninho has confirmed Manchester United have first refusal on Memphis Depay.
Depay is a target for Tottenham ahead of the January market.
And Juninho says, "Memphis is really happy at Lyon right now.
"So we're going to talk about a contract extension towards the end of the year. He deserves the captain's armband just like everyone else. Trainer Rudi Garcia will soon make a decision about it. He will ultimately be responsible for it.
"Manchester United has the first option when clubs report to buy Memphis."
