Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson is delighted to be off the mark.

Leicester beat Eddie Howe's men 3-1 last Saturday, but the big positive from the contest was seeing striker Wilson score for the first time in eight competitive fixtures for club and country.

Wilson told the Daily Echo: "It's always good to get off the mark. You always want to do it sooner rather than later.

"It's taken me until the fourth game to do it, but nevertheless I've got it now. It breeds confidence going into the international break having scored and I'll come back ready to hit the ground running and get some more."

Asked if the wait to find the net had played on his mind, Wilson added: "No, not really.

"I think as a striker you always believe you're going to score. It's just getting yourself in the right positions consistently and focusing on what gets you goals, which is all-round performance really.

"Until Leicester, at points my performance was good and it probably hasn't been up there as well in recent weeks so I guess it's nice to have the all-round thing."
