Fiorentina have re-signed Milan Badelj from Lazio.
The midfielder was a surprise announcement on Monday.
"I've never stopped loving Fiorentina and their fans," said the Badelj.
I only left the club a year ago only for sporting reasons, but now everything has changed. I didn't consider other offers. I'd have stayed at Lazio if I couldn't come back.
Now I want to repay their faith in me. I didn't shine at Lazio, above all because of myself.
I consider my time there a minor failure, but I have to thank them for how they treated me.
I haven't come back expecting to wear the captain's armband. It'll be worn by a real man who deserves it."
