  • British Airways is significantly altering its flight network, reducing services to the Middle East while expanding routes to India and Africa.
  • Flights from London Heathrow to Jeddah will be grounded from 24 April, and the London-Riyadh service will be halved to one flight daily.
  • Services to Dubai, Doha, and Tel Aviv are set to resume from 1 July but at a reduced frequency compared to pre-disruption levels.
  • The airline is doubling flights to Bangalore and Nairobi, adding extra services to Mumbai and Delhi, and deploying larger aircraft on routes to the Indian capital and Hyderabad.
  • These changes are a response to the ongoing situation in the Middle East and aim to capitalise on the reduced capacity of competitors like Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways.
