The Great British Bake Off has issued a tribute to the mother of a contestant, who died during filming of the 2026 series.
Nikki left the tent during Tuesday’s (13 October) episode, with Alison Hammond announcing that this was due to “family matters.”
Channel 4 issued a tribute to Nikki’s mother, Joyce, at the end of the show, with a message reading: "With our deepest condolences to Nikki and family following the loss of her mum Joyce."
Writing on Instagram, Nikki explained she stepped away to "come home and be with my beautiful mum in her final days." She added that her mother inspired her baking and was "over the moon" when she was chosen for the show.
