Adana Demirspor striker Mario Balotelli says Ukraine can feel aggrieved over their 0-0 draw with Italy.
The result sees Italy qualify for Euro2024, with Ukraine now facing a playoff.
Balotelli says Ukraine should feel upset after Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante's challenge on Chelsea's Mykhaylo Mudryk inside the Italy penalty area was waved away.
He told TV Play: "It's definitely a penalty. That's fine and we're going to the European Championships, but let's think about one thing: if it happens to reverse what is our reaction? It's a penalty.
"Mudryk anticipated Cristante and it was a foul. There is no doubt. Regardless of the fact that (Gigio) Donnarumma would have taken him anyway."
