K-pop fans in Malaysia have a major reason to celebrate—two of the genre’s biggest names, BamBam and (G)I-DLE, are set to headline the 2025 K-pop Big 2 Super Concert. The concert promises an electrifying night of performances by two artists who continue to shape the global K-pop landscape.

For those who missed BamBam’s appearance at last year’s SEGi K-Pop Soundwave Festival, this concert marks a golden opportunity to catch him live once again. The Thai singer-songwriter and GOT7 member has carved out a successful solo career while maintaining close ties with his group. GOT7 recently made a long-awaited comeback with their latest EP, Winter Heptagon, a release that not only celebrated their 11th anniversary since debut but also marked the beginning of a new partnership with Kakao Entertainment.

BamBam last performed solo in Malaysia during his 2023–2024 BamBam THE 1ST WORLD TOUR [AREA 52], held in August 2023. He’s not the only GOT7 member making his way back—Jay B, the group’s leader, is also set to perform on local shores later this month as part of his TAPE: RE LOAD Asia Tour.

Joining BamBam on stage at the 2025 K-pop Big 2 Super Concert is none other than (G)I-DLE, one of the most prominent K-pop girl groups in the world. The five-member ensemble—So-yeon, Mi-yeon, Minnie, Yu Qi, and Shu Hua—recently announced the renewal of their contracts with CUBE Entertainment during their heartfelt acceptance speech at the 2024 Melon Music Awards, where they were honoured with the Record of the Year award. Malaysian fans last saw (G)I-DLE live in 2023 during the 9 Wave Music Festival.
