Barca Atletic coach Rafa Marquez is wanted by Mexico.
The Mexican Football Federation is continuing their search to appoint a new manager before the start of the new World Cup cycle and Miguel Herrera seems to be in pole position to take over the job.
Now it has been reported that if the experienced manager is appointed, he will include Márquez as part of his coaching staff so that he can gain experience at the international level.
“It is an idea that I've always thought about, to include young managers to start building their legacy and that one day they assume the job. But I would have to sit down with Rafa and maybe he's happy where he's at right now.
"Maybe he is looking to grow in his own path. So I can say I want certain people in my geocaching staff, but if they don't want to join, then there's nothing else I can do," said Herrera in an interview with Mediotiempo.
