Barcelona sports chief Deco admits he's made contact with agents for Frenkie de Jong.
Deco has hinted he'd like to discuss a new deal for the Holland midfielder.
De Jong's current contract runs to 2026 and Deco told Mundo Deportivo: "I sent some messages to his agents to introduce myself.
"We haven't talked about the details of the contract yet. Frenkie, among others, are some of the players we would like to keep at the club for many years. He is a perfect age as a footballer and is playing at a high level.
"We want him to be here at Barcelona for many more years."
