Barcelona coach Xavi has admitted having words with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta after last night's 5-3 defeat.
Xavi took issue with the physical approach of the Gunners in the preseason friendly.
He said, "Good for the spectator, not so good for the coaches. They are more in shape. It is the fifth game that they played but I think we have been tender in defence.
"But, anyway, it's the first game. We have made two teams. We have only left out Lenglet and Gavi, who had his back a bit stuck. But Arsenal is a more rounded team than us at the moment.
"I have told Mikel that the intensity they have put in did not seem normal in a friendly match. That it seemed like the Champions League, that everyone wants to win. Our intensity hasn't surprised me, yours has.
"So much intensity, tactical fouls. We have taken it seriously but they are on another level. Still, I think we finished well. I am happy. Results apart, the conclusions are positive, I'm happy.
"Everyone, except for Balde, who has been brutal at an extraordinary level, has struggled a bit. But the main objective was to accumulate minutes."
