Barcelona coach Xavi was happy after their 3-0 win against Rayo Vallecano.

Robert Lewandowski struck, with Pedri also scoring twice.

Xavi said: "Positive analysis of today's victory. We felt comfortable although they created a cobweb that cost us. We are conceding more in defense, but the team felt good, the goal helped us. We achieved the minimum goal, to be second, which gives us the opportunity to fight next year for one more title (Spanish Super Cup)."

On Pedri, he said: "Goals are the best recipe to gain confidence and, if you score two on top of that... you need continuity, rhythm, which he has lacked after his injuries. You lack rhythm, confidence but this is going to be very good for him."

On meeting with president Joan Laporta, Xavi said: "The message is the same. If I have any news to give, I would give it to you, as always. If we don't see each other now, it will be tomorrow, the next day... I have permanent contact with them. The other day he congratulated me on the victory."
