Barcelona have announced Gavi's new contract can be registered with the LaLiga.
Barcelona's commercial court number 10 has granted the Blaugrana club the opportunity to register Gavi as a first team player.
The ruling arrives despite LaLiga's attempts to prevent registration due to the club's problems with financial fair play.
Barca announced today: "The court recognises LaLiga's dominant position but believes that there is a principle of legitimacy in Barcelona's request and that failure to register the player before closing the window would imply release and, therefore, a very serious and irreparable loss for the club."
