The veteran Spanish defender, who is now 32, was being linked to Manchester United this summer.
However, Marca in Spain outlines that Alonso has committed to Barca for this campaign.
Even though United are said to have offered him a two year deal, Alonso has turned down the offer.
United are in a mad dash to try and find a left-back before the transfer window closes.
Both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are down with long term injuries, while Alvaro Fernandez is not considered ready by manager Erk ten Hag.
