Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso is facing surgery.
Barca have announced Alonso will undergo a back operation in the coming days.
Alonso has been missing for the entire month of December. His lower back problems have forced him to sit out six games.
The former left back of Chelsea has assessed over the Christmas holidays, together with Barca's medical services, and has taken the decision.
Although Bara has not provided the time that he will be out, it will be around six to eight weeks, reports Marca.
