Barcelona great Miguel Angel Nadal insists coach Xavi is the right man in charge.
Nadal insists patience is needed for Xavi and the board given the issues inside the club.
He told AS: "Last year they did important things in a complicated situation. They have once again formed a competitive squad, but, unfortunately, injuries have lowered the team's performance. We are in the middle of the competition and Barcelona has a debt with the Champions League.
"If it recovers all the elements it has, Bara has to be a candidate. The season is very long and you have to know how to handle the ups and downs.
"Xavi knows the club perfectly and has given stability and credibility to the team. Before he came we always had problems and when he arrived he won the League title."
