Manchester City rejected a transfer offer from Barcelona for Bernardo Silva.
The Portuguese attacking midfielder has been a target for the Catalan giants for several years.
The 28-year-old is eager to join Barca, but City have never been able to agree a fee with the La Liga outfit.
Per Spanish outlet AS, Barca attempted to sign Silva on deadline day this winter.
However, their offer was not close to what City would demand for the playmaker.
Bernardo will have to wait until the summer at the earliest to leave the club.
