Barcelona have made a move for Real Sociedad attacker Takefusa Kubo.
The Japan international moved to La Real this summer from Real Madrid.
Barca coach Xavi is a fan of Kubo and management have contacted his agents about the prospect of returning to his former junior club.
However, Barca were informed Kubo's future remains tied to Real Madrid.
Real Madrid sold him for 6m and have right of first refusal and 50% of his sell on fee. That is to say, in the event that a club decided to pay his termination clause of 60m and the player accepted the offer, half of that money would go to Real Madrid.
