Barcelona midfielder Gavi was in Los Palacios and Villafranca celebrating their Nations League title.
Gavi was born and raised in the municipality.
He will have one of the three fields in the Seville town named after him, as confirmed by the mayor of the municipality, Juan Manuel Valle.
Gavi said, "I always have Villafranca and Los Palacios in my mind.
Asked about insults from Real Madrid fans which came his way while with Spain, he added: "Everyone thinks the way they want and says what they want. I'm very calm. I'm calm and my family knows it."
