Barcelona president Joan Laporta admits they're encouraging several fringe players to leave.
Laporta confirmed their plans at today's signing presentation for Franck Kessie.
He stated: "We have absolute respect for our players, we are working very well on contracts that are not easy because the players want to maintain their status in the clubs they go to.
The player always believes that he can convince the coach before leaving. I trust logic will prevail."
Sporting director Mateu Alemany also said: "We have absolute respect for our players. With those that the coach does not have, we are working on a consensual agreement. The sports management is working very well. It is not easy, because the footballers want to have contracts similar to the current ones. Most have the hope and illusion of convincing the coach. It is normal. Therein lies the point of difficulty."
