Barcelona president Joan Laporta has sent a message to all fans ahead of Sunday's El Clasico against Real Madrid.

Victory for Barca would send them 12 points clear ahead of Real at the top of the table.

Laporta , referring to their battle with the Negreira case, stated: "Hello culs,

"This Sunday we have a great game. Come cheer on the team more than ever. We have a great opportunity to get closer to this season's goal, which is to win the league. A great opportunity. The campaign we are suffering is not by chance, and you all know it. Its objective is, in the short term, to destabilise the team, and in the medium term, to control Bara, keep it.

"There will be time, and I want to explain who, why and how they are orchestrating this campaign. Have no doubt that we will defend ourselves, and we will not only defend ourselves, we will attack. But now I want us to focus on cheering on the team this Sunday. And because, as I said, the first objective they have is to destabilise the team and we have to focus on encouraging the team, our players and our coaches to win the game. I think we don't have to be there for other aspects that can divert the attention of our players, to focus on the game to win it.

"I think it is essential. So, culs, this Sunday, come cheer on the team more than ever. Let's encourage Bara because we want Bara.

"Visca el Bara."
