Barcelona president Joan Laporta visited the Nou Camp today as renovations are underway.

After removing the field of play, the actions are now focused on the total demolition of the third tier and the Gol Norte video scoreboard. The seats in the focused area have already been removed.

"The first feeling that it generates in you is nostalgia but, at the same time, you walk, you think, you see how the rhythm of the works is going, that it is going well, and you have hope and joy because we are fulfilling a collective dream of Barcelona fans. Having a Sportify Camp Nou renovated, which will be the best in the world applying all the technology, safe, comfortable and suitable for commercial needs," said Laporta.

"The work is going at the planned pace, no surprises have been found. I like the explanation they have given us. There will be a second skin in the stadium that will connect the first and second stands and make them wider and there will be a whole series of services as the members and subscribers deserve. The nose of the third tier is being demolished. We are satisfied with the pace of the works."

Barcelona will play at the Montjuc Olympic Stadium next season until November 2024.
