Barcelona presidential candidate Toni Freixa has tried to be positive when discussing the club's situation.

Xavi has announced he will step down as coach after Barca's 5-3 home defeat to Villarreal on Saturday.

Freixa said on Radio Marca: "I am worried. They have lost 3 titles in 15 days.

"I was surprised by Xavi's decision.

"If the team is performing well now I'm not going to complain, but my feeling is that nothing is going to improve just by saying this."

Bara is going through one of the most delicate moments in its history and many people are looking for culprits.

But Freixa says: "It is a collective. Dissecting and saying that there is a culprit for everything is not right. Now the concern must be to finish the season in the Champions League."

He also said: "I remember that Madrid was the same as Bara and ended up winning the seventh (Champions League)."

Freixa then gave as an example Chelsea's Champions League victory with Roberto Di Matteo on the bench.
