Barcelona are re-adjusting the contracts agreed with Bosman pair Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen.
AC Milan midfielder Kessie and Chelsea defender Christensen are both off contract at the end of June and agreed to join Barca.
Sport says, however, Barca must adjust the terms originally agreed to comply to LaLiga's financial controls. Without the new arrangements, neither player would be able to be registered.
Barca will have a €200m cash injection this week as they sell a percentage of their TV rights.
However, Kessie and Christensen will still need to have their contracts rewritten to get themselves under the wage cap.
